WASHINGTON, DC --- A tearful Senator Dick Durbin apologized to all Nazis for his insensitive remarks comparing US troops with them. Senator Durbin promised to be more sensitive to Nazis when making future comments.
"I now realize that my remarks were inappropriate and insensitive to the Nazi community," said Durbin. "There is so much hatred for American soldiers both here and throughout the world, that I need to choose my words more carefully. I truly apologize to any Nazis who might have been offended by the comparison. My intention was to insult American soldiers and our White House, not to degrade Nazis. I assure you that I will be more selective with my words in the future."
Nazi leaders and former World War II Nazis throughout the world accepted Durbin's apology as genuine. Prisoners at Gitmo were too busy eating their Tandoori Chicken and Fish Amandine to make comments.
