NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana --- Evil and selfish American corporations were embarrassed when progressive leaders pointed out that their massive cash donations were overwhelming relief agencies. The cash infusions might take years to spend and are overwhelming the disaster relief effort.
"If there was any doubt that corporations in this country are the root of all evil, it was dispelled today," said Ed Asner, surrounded by Cindy Sheehan, Jesse Jackson, Barbra Streisand and other Hollywood elites. "If this money had instead been in the hands of a socialist government agency, we would have this problem. These greedy and cruel corporations care nothing about people. They overwhelmed the relief effort with cash in order to stall things. This shows that we need to dismantle corporations and give all of the money to a socialist government to spend it properly. Oh, and this is also Bush's fault."
CEOs at major corporations disclosed privately that they would not let these comments deter them from continuing to give cash for relief and encouraging employees to donate their time and money for the relief efforts, showing a callous disregard for the situation.

Clearly Bush is at fault.

yes indeed, it's clearly bush's fault, as also is the chance of the sun going nova and frying the earth somewhen in the next couple of gigayears and the eventual heat death of the universe several gigayears later. we can only prevent those disasters by impeaching bush forthwith, immediately committing our entire national budget to stem cell research, signing the kyoto accords and accepting the u.n. as the world goverment. if we do this immediately, with no further discussion all will be well ad eternum, utopia will dawn and we can thenceforth all sit in happiness circles singing "kumbayah" and sharing s'mores, crunching granola bars and doing the birkenstock shuffle.
