Jerhad: Charles, thanks for joining us today. You've gotten a lot of attention about your comments on "fake Christians" that you made on CNN. Specifically, you said that Christians who don't support gay marriage and abortion are fake because they sit in judgment of others, which violates the Bible. Is that your position?
Barkley: That's right. These so-called Christians need to read their Bible more closely and realize they are hypocrites for judging others. I support abortion and gay marriage. I am a good Christian and not a hypocrite.
Jerhad: So Charles, is it safe to say you support child molesters?
Barkley: What! Shut your mouth. I never said such a thing.
Jerhad: But isn't that passing judgment on others? Isn't it hypocritical to judge child molesters?
Barkely: Hell no! They hurt children. Abortion and gay marriage don't hurt nobody.
Jerhad: So if Christians believe that abortion is hurting children, would that make their objection okay?
Barkley: Don't be tricky with me. Unborn babies are not children. That makes abortion okay.
Jerhad: What if someone wants to abort at 8 months? Would someone be a hypocrite to oppose that?
Barkely: Look, I don't know that level of detail. I let the Supreme Court make that decision. That's their job. My only point was that Christians are not really Christians unless they support abortion and gay marriage.
Jerhad: Are you a Christian, Charles?
Barkley: I'm a strong Christian. I'm not one of these hypocrites.
Jerhad: So is it not ironic that you are judging others as hypocrites because you think they are judging others?
Barkley: I ain't judging other people. I'm just saying they're hypocrites. That's all.
Jerhad: Do you also believe in polygamy, Charles?
Barkley: I never said nothing about polygamy either. You're putting words in my mouth. I do not support polygamy.
Jerhad: So why is polygamy different than gay marriage? These are consenting adults who aren't hurting anyone. Are you a hypocrite for opposing polygamy? I mean there are polygamous relationships documented in the Bible, while there is no mention of gay marriage.
Barkley: Say what? Naw, naw, man. That's just stupid. You can't equate polygamy with gay marriage. These fake Christians oppose gay marriage because they hate gay people.
Jerhad: I see. So the millions of dollars donated and thousands of hours volunteered by fake Christians to support people who have AIDS is done out of hatred?
Barkley: Well, I don't know. Maybe they just feel guilty. But the bottom line is that you can't be a Christian and not support gay marriage and abortion. That's it and that's all.
Jerhad: Charles, thanks for joining us again. This conversation has been very enlightening. I wish you the best of luck in your plans to run for Governor in a few years. You'll make a great leader.
