Cancelling Sports Illustrated
SAN FRANCISCO, California --- I love sports, and I read my subscription to sports illustrated to get a reprieve from the normal liberal drivel that is pervasive in television and newspapers. Sure, SI has it's own bias, but I can deal with sports bias as entertainment.
Then I got my last Sports Illustrated. A sniveling little twerp named Steve Rushin had an article about the dangers of guns and all of the gun violence related to sports stars. If I wanted to read an intellectually dishonest, poorly researched, left-wing screed about guns, I'd read Mother Jones or the New York Times. I read SI to escape that garbage. Apparently, no more.
It's bad enough that Steve-O uses bogus statistics about children who die from guns that actually include gang homicides of 19-year-olds. This guy actually had the nerve to exploit the suicide death of NFL coach Tony Dungy's son. Steve writes that Dungy's son had a web page with pictures of guns and then segues into the news of his suicide. Of course, Steve doesn't tell his readers that Dungy hung himself, leaving the impression it was a gun suicide. Did little Stevie forget that hunting and target shooting are "sports" that should be covered in "Sports" Illustrated rather than being attacked with inaccurate and misleading information?
My annual renewal is due this month. It won't be renewed. Thanks, Steve-O.

Jerhad you can't let a few words from the libs scare you away like that. You should read the LA Times while watching Brokeback Mountain and enjoying a nice Salad with some of that yummy Paul Newman dressing. Get in touch with your America-hating side.

Ha, great reply!
Jerhad, I hope you sent a copy of this rant, as well as a link to your blog, to SI with your cancelation notice.

Speaking of America-hating and the LA Times, check out this sad excuse for an American:

The voters in PA should "cancel" John Murtha.
